Supply Chain Shortages - Manufactured Foods

January 28, 2022

Greetings and Happy New Year from the Division of Food Safety! We hope 2022 will bring you great success in all of your endeavors.

We wanted to reach out to let you know that the U. S. Food and Drug Administration (FDA) is offering assistance for certain food establishments experiencing supply chain issues. The attached PDF provides guidance on reaching out to FDA for assistance and provides links to key temporary policies and key resources available to you for pandemic related concerns. As you may be aware, the FDA has been working with industry and government partners throughout the pandemic and this communication represents their most recent efforts to assist food establishments and the broader agricultural community in this time of need. We encourage you to review the information provided in hope that it may be useful for you.

As a reminder, the division is actively renewing food establishment permits for the 2022 permit year which expired on December 31, 2021. If you have not already done so, please take a moment to renew your permit today by visiting https://FoodPermit.FDACS.gov. By law, additional late fees are assessed 30 days after the December 31 expiration date which is only a few days away.
